NorthCare, the official charity of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, has been benefitting from support from local company Creamline Dairies, based in Trafford.

Creamline, founded in 1945, supplies customers across Greater Manchester and Cheshire with fresh milk and dairy products, as well as groceries, via doorstep delivery. They provide households with an estimated 850,000 litres of milk per week, including up to 15,000 pints a day in traditional glass bottles.

The company champions local independent producers by offering customers fresh meat and fish, bread, deli items and fruit and veg from independent shops in the area. Creamline staff load their vehicles with items from 10pm so that they can deliver from 11pm – 8am, ensuring customers wake up to their fresh produce orders in the morning.

Creamline has pledged its support to NorthCare Charity’s RAPTOR Appeal, which will create the UK’s first hybrid major trauma operating theatre, caring for the most seriously injured and unwell patients from across the North West. The RAPTOR Theatre is a £1.4 million project which will prioritise multi-trauma patients (those with multiple complex injuries), giving them the best possible chance of survival.

Chris Swallow, joint Managing Director at Creamline, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting NorthCare Charity with their RAPTOR Appeal, as we understand the importance of this specialist care for major trauma patients from all over Greater Manchester. So far, we have made two donations towards the appeal, including acting as one of the match funders for NorthCare’s ‘Big Give’ Christmas Challenge.

“A family-run business, Creamline operates on philanthropic principles, and over the years through our customer charity lottery we are proud to have been able to raise many thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes that support the communities we serve.

"I recently visited the RAPTOR Theatre in construction on the Salford Royal Hospital site, to see first-hand how local people will benefit from the new theatre thanks to the generosity of our wonderful lottery-playing customers.”

Karen Casper, Fundraising Officer for NorthCare Charity, said: “Creamline have been a fantastic support for us and we’re grateful to have them on board! It’s important to us that our supporters can see the difference their donations make, and the RAPTOR Theatre will benefit so many of our patients with life-threatening and life-changing injuries across Greater Manchester and beyond.

“We’re really looking forward to continuing this partnership and working together to help to make a difference in the future!”
