We are fortunate to have community groups who support us with fundraising, events and activities. Their support goes a long way in helping us raise money for Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

You can get involved in any of these groups, find out more information below.

The Royal Oldham Hospital League of Friends are a voluntary group that has raised money to benefit patients and staff across wards and departments at Oldham Hospital since 1960. Over that time they ran a popular bookstall at the hospital, that only stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic, organised a wide range of fun events including coffee mornings, quiz nights, perfume and prosecco parties, and bucket collections.

The League of Friends have funded a wide range of furniture, comfort items and additional equipment for the hospital such as; sensory equipment for A&E, bladder scanner for MAU, portable DVD players for patients on the Haematology Ward and made a huge donation of £34,000 to purchase the Royal Rover minibus which transported patients and visitors around the hospital site.
