Be creative -Think outside the box when deciding what to do for your fundraiser. Why not find a way to raise funds through your hobbies and interests?
Think smart – If you fancy doing a fundraising run, walk or cycle, is there an existing event you could get a place for? This could save you lots of time and effort.
Aim high – Having a target is a great way to gain support from people and celebrating each milestone gives you a real sense of achievement.
Money, money, money! - Before you launch your fundraising idea, make sure you’ve weighed up the costs of running the event against the funds you predict you’ll raise for the charity.
Make it easy – Set up a JustGiving page or use sponsor forms, making it easy for your family and friends to support you. We’re here to help with this one!
Spread the word - Use social media and create posters to let people know about your fundraising activity. Add your target, a photo and tell your network why you’ve chosen to support NorthCare Charity. Great story-telling goes a long way!
Give yourself enough time – Consider the time needed for planning certain events. Once you’ve set the date, create a timeline to make sure your fundraising goes to plan!
An extra hand – Ask our Fundraising Team to provide you with a ‘Letter of Authorisation'. You can show this to businesses if you need Gifts in Kind to help with your fundraising efforts.
Be patient - There are no two ways about it, fundraising is hard sometimes. When you feel you’re at a standstill, picture the end results—how amazing you’ll feel and the difference you’ll make to our staff, patients and families.
Say thank you – Once you’ve completed your challenge and smashed your fundraising goal, it is always nice to show your supporters what you have achieved and say a big THANK YOU!
